Hello and welcome to my updated genealogy page! My roots are in West Virginia and Virginia, primarily the Raleigh and Mercer Co. areas. The primary surname I am currently researching is BAILEY.

My oldest known ancestor in this line is John B. Bailey, born about 1 Feb. 1790 in Dinwiddie Co. VA. He and his wife, Sarah Jane, moved to present day Raleigh Co. about 1827. I am currently looking for information about John's parents. If you can help please e-mail me!


I am descended from John and Sarah through their son, Sparriel. I have accumulated a number of records, newspaper articles, etc... and am in the process of getting those records online at my other website.
