The James Thomas Dukes Family Page

I am researching the Dukes family tree from Muhlenberg County Kentucky. Joseph Jacklyn Dukes born October 1856 in Kentucky, Elijah Benjamin Dukes born in 1836 or 1838 in Kentucky, Elijah W. Dukes born 1801 in Tennessee, Benjamin Dukes Born around 1762 in North Carolina and Samuel Dukes pryor to that but I am unsure of the date or place. I think he died around April of 1821. I have some information that is supposed to link our family with the "Duke" family tree (pedigree #216 and #3989). I am unsure how we are supposed to be related. They are from VA and NC. I have information on both sides but I fail to see the link between the two families. Any information would be appreciated.
