The Dukes family that I am searching for is centered in Georgia and Florida. My father Cecil, a white male, was the 12th child of a family that lived in Waycross & Macon, Georgia and raised tobacco and peanuts on a farm. My father's mother's maiden name was Ida Sweat Byrd. His father was named James Elbert Dukes. Many of my father's siblings lived in central and southern Georgia and norther Florida, especially Jacksonville. I am searching for vital statistics on my father's relatives and have few known dates, thusfar. My mother's family, Santelli, is a first generation immigrant family that lived in Utica, NY during the Great Depression. Her father, Anthony Vito, was born in Naples, Italy and worked for a railroad in New York. Her mother's maiden name was Dagmar Tahia Martinez and she was born in Madrid, Spain. My mother was the 12th child of the family. Several of her brothers died during WWII serving their country, America.
