I am researching the following surnames: Duke-Moses-Pesnell-Burson-Kent-Motes/Mote-Hazelwood-Thompson-Norton-Brown-Mercer-Faubus-Fry-Screws-Waldrep/Waldrup. Regions include VA, S.C, GA, TN, N.C. AL, England, Ireland.I would like to receive and to share information. My Duke Family line came from County kent, England in 1637 with the persons of Thomas Duke and his wife Mary Barham. Next in my line was Thomas Duke Junr. His wife was named Margaret. His son in my line was John Duke and his wife Ann Pugh. Next in my line was their son Daniel and his wife Christan Spivey. I am decended from their son Pleasant Who showed up in Hawkins County Tennessee with a Rev. War land grant on the Holstein River in about 1785. One of their sons was Solomon. His wife was Eleanor. They lived in Lincoln Co. TN. They had a son Andrew R. Duke who married Nancy Hazelwood. Their Son Alex Married Sarah Kent. Their son was Robert Farris. He Married Mary E. Motes. Their son was Willie A. Duke who married Doris Moses. These two are my parents.
