I am researching the descendants of Alexis DUMESTRE (1836 - 1884) born in Mazerolles, Hautes Pyrenees, France. He immigrated to New Orleans, LA in 1852 and married Blanche Eulalie BAILLY ca 1857 and produced an extensive line of descendants, most of whom reside(d) in the New Orleans area.I am particularly interested in gathering information on related DUMESTRE, BAILLY, GUGEL, AUCOIN & CARPENTER families who had some connection with the New Orleans during the 19th and early 20th centuries.
