Find Family
What a wonderful Opportunity to have my own HOME PAGE for the O'Grady family research. I have been researching my mother's maiden family name for years now and have found marvelous family who have become friends. It's a terrific past-time and a very rewarding one.
O'Grady's are Irish, at this point it is assumed we came from County Clare Ireland, that has not yet been confirmed. David and Catherine O'Grady immigrated to Canada in about 1831. They settled in Douro, Ontario. A small quaint village where many of their descendants still remain. I am happy to say I am one of them.
To date I have researched many family members and ahve had great response from several people who share the same interest. However there are always those who do not take pride in their family heritage, this is their choice.
Some of my family moved on to find work in the United States. A great uncle settled in Seattle Washington, another in Rochester New York, some stayed in Canada however moved to the Toronto area. I have managed to locate several of these families who traveled away. It's been fun trying anyway.

Anyone with any suggestions or information to assist in my research would be most welcome....
