Soon our faultering steps will guide us Safely to the other side. We are leaving home and children; All on earth we hold most dear; Soon we shall hear the Boatman calling. I am waiting, do not fear. We have tried to do our duty; We have done the best we know. We have tried to lead our children In the faith that they should go. We shall meet with other loved ones Who have gone this way before. They will welcome us so gladly To that happy, peaceful shore.
