Leopold and Lydalia (Adela) DziedziulaUpdated April 26, 2008 |
Leopold DZIEDZIULA arrived in America via the Boston Port in 1907, according to his Declaration of Intention. Leopold was born in Raczki, Belarus, his father's name was Konstanty, mother Elizabeth. He appears to be in the Detroit area as early as 1911---he is listed in the 1911 City Directory for Detroit. Leopold is also listed as coming into the USA, traveling to Detroit, Michigan from Winnipeg, Alberta in 1909. Lydalia Lucewicz Dziedziula and her daughter Sabina arrived at Ellis Island in June 3, 1912. Ship of Travel was the Kursk, the port of Departure was Libau, Latvia. Leopold died in 1926 while working for the City Gas Company in Detroit, Michigan. Leopold and Adela had six children, three did not live beyond their teens. Lydalia came from the village of Horodyszcze in Belarus, her parents were Franz and Scholastica. I am presently working on the following family lines: DZIEDZIULA, LUCEWICZ, BUSZEK, LANGIEWICZ. |
