| I am researching the famiy lines of John Henry Moon-Almira Seeley of New York and David E Moon-Mary S Hewes of Vermont.Looking for their parents and connections into the Moons of NY, RI, MASS and VT. Little is known about John Hnery Moon b: abt 1833/34. It is believed that he is the John Henry Moon buried in the Pittstown Corners Baptist Deciple Church Cemetery, in Pittstown, NY. Born 1834 died 1889, a VT Volunteer, unasigned Regiment. If anyone has connection to this John Henry Moon buried there, please contact me. John Henry Moon married Almira Seely daughter of Jospeh and Mary Ann Seeley of New York, she had a brother William J Seeley (abt 1847) and sister Hannah J (abt 1849) who married an ODELL. John and Almira's daughter Mary A Moon married George R Moon son of David E Moon (1825/26)and Mary S Hewes, from Vermont, which forms this branch of the tree. It is believed that John Henry Moon and David Moon are related but not quit sure how at the present time. The two families have been located 2 seperate times in Rennesslear County, NY (1865) and Bennington, Vermont,(1870) together prior to the marriage between their children. Other surnames that have been associated to the families are ODELL, ALDRICH, KNAPP, CHURCH, DAVIS, BARNES-LABARNES-LABARRON, HARVEY, BATES, HALL, BUSHEE, HOUGHTALING, KING(KEHN), RUSSELL, BUMP and many more.
