His wife, Margaret Elizabeth Dunbar, born May 28, 1826, died March 6, 1907 (parents of Katharine Dunbar (Stuart) Dunscombe. Also inscribed on stone is the name of their youngest child, Inglis Stuart, born March 24, 1859, died abt. 1945, though he is probably not buried here. There is a stone leaning against the side of the large stone. It notes the names of Homer's first wife, Jane E. Campbell, born abt. 1815, died Oct. 27, 1846, aged 31 years; and children Mary, died July 16, 1846, aged 3 years; and Anna Maria, died Jan. 15, 1847, aged 6 years. It is probably these three are not buried here. See also detail photos of the inscription; and of the inscription on the small stone leaning against the lower left side of this large stone.

    Maple Grove Cemetery, Berlin, Ct. Katharine Chauncey Goodrich was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ely) and Samuel Goodrich (also buried at Maple Grove Cemetery). They are the 4th great grandparents of Andy and Hannah Dunscombe. Katharine born Dec. 2, 1791, died Oct. 15, 1873. Daniel, an attorney, born March 28, 1774, died Dec. 11, 1841. He was the son of Mary (Potter) and Aaron Dunbar. They lived right up the street from the cemetery, on Worthington Road (see picture of their residence). Edward Ely was a son. He is buried on Isle de Flores in the harbor of Montevideo, South America.
