I am researching the DUNN surname. My ancestor, Thomas Dunn (1765-1839) first appeared in TN in the 1790's. He married Margaret (Peggy) BEELER Smith(1765-1846) about 1791. Margaret had a daughter, Sarah Smith(1790-1870), by her first marriage and seven children by her marriage to Thomas: Johnny(1793-1878), Francis(1795-1879), Mary(1799-1864), Joseph(1800-1863), Anna Christina(1802-1881), Cathrine(1807-?), and William Beeler(1810-1872). Thomas' and Margaret's descendants are found in AR, KY, TX, and other areas. Any information on Thomas' parents, siblings, and origin would be appreciated.
