I am researching the Dunn family. My fathers name was Henry James Dunn. Henry, who went by the name of Harry, or Dinty as his many friends called him, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1907. Dad’s mother’s maiden name was Maria [May S] Phelan. She was born in Ireland about 1885. Dad’s father, Henry A. Dunn, was born in Ireland about 1881. Henry A. and Mae had three children: Beatrice, Henry and James. This Henry Dunn was my father. Of special interest to me are the names of my grandmother’s parents. I believe them to be James Phelan and Anna Snee, but cannot verify this with any hard evidence. I know that Anna Snee had a sister Agnes Snee, who was my father’s grand aunt. In addition I am also researching other members of my family tree. I am at present researching the families of Ulrich Wachter born in Baden Baden Germany about 1876 and his wife Maria Ann Ott. |
