| I am researching the DUNN family of Dunn's Creek, Cape Fear River, NC, and of Moore and Montgomery Counties, NC, 1730's-1830's. I am particularly interested in the family of Richard Dunn, born about 1755, and his wife Deborah. He owned the first water-powered saw mill (1770's) in Moore County. It was on Wet Creek. He had a brother named Hezekiah. I am also researching the MARTIN family of Moore County, NC, (1770's-1830's). I am particularly interested in Murdock Martin, born about 1750, the son of John Martin, Isle of Skye, Scotland. I believe Murdock Martin had a daughter named Christian. I am interesting in hearing from anyone who has information about these families. I am also willing to share what information I have. |
