The Ancestor's of Kate Dunavant

I am researching my ancestors to include the following surnames; Conklin, Concklin, Conkling, Abel, Coons, Kunts, Murry and Murray.
The most frustrating part of the puzzle is the conection of Gardner Conklin and his son Sidney, to all the other Conklin's in New York. Sidney was born in 1809 and his sister Elizabeth in 1816. Their father, Gardner was married to Marian and is listed on the 1810 and 1820 census records in Stillwater, Saratoga County, New York. We have never been able to find his father.
