| I am building a family geneology book for our daughters. The main names we are searching for are DUNCAN, WHITTEN, HOLLEY, VANCE, TONEY, PETRY, CARNES, CARTE, PENNEL, CASH, PRIDDY, PETERS, and HUNTER. Our family mainly comes from central WEST VIRGINIA -- Kanawha, Clay, Mason, Boone, Lincoln, Cabell and Putnam Counties. We need special help for my great, great grandfather Joseph Holley, who supposedly married a Native American named Stacy. Their son, Joseph F. Holley, was born about 1860, and married Georgiana Cash on March 4, 1894. This family should be in the Kanawha-Putnam-Cabell Counties area. My husband's great, great grandfather was Asbury Duncan, married to Elizabeth Unknown. The only thing we know for sure is that his son, Thomas Richard Duncan, married Mary Margaret Hunter and they are buried in Braxton County, WV. We would be happy to share any info we have.
