I have been fascinated with ancestry since I was a young child. My Great Uncle Verne wrote stories about family objects and gave my mom a Family Tree that I treasure. Our family is so scattered that we never have reunions, and I would like to learn more about distant cousins. I really want to find my ancestors' passages to America. I have only been researching for about 2 months. Thanks to Daniel Goodemotes database, I hit gold on my father's side the first time I typed in my name. His tree took me back 7 generations. I thought, WOW, this is easy. Well, since then I have found that for every mystery solved, atleast two more are created. Every tree has a branch. I just want to be branch manager for a while and fill in all the "holes." I hope to leave a well-documented history for my daughter.

I am researching the Goodemotes of Western New York, the Armstrongs of Western New York, the Favres of Mississippi, the Meerses of New York, and the Joneses on New Orleans. What a formidable task! I hope to be the family "reporter."
