| I am researching the ancestors of William Henry Gast of Kr Rummelsburg, Pomerania, Germany, born on March 8, 1875. All I know is that he came to America with his father, Gottlieb (born July 25, 1845), his mother Augusta Hopke or Augustina Kappke (there seems to be a discrepancy on her name) born November 21, 1870), Also accompanied them.They settled in Bridgman, MI I am also trying to locate any information on William's wife, Amanda Hulda Jannusch, born December 3, 1878. She came to the United States when she was very young, with her parents who were Carl Jannusch (1846-1922) and Joanna A (Mary) Kasischke (1860-1921). Amanda was born in Poberow Kreis Rummelsburg, Hinter Pommern Germany. I am researching the ancestors of Christ Lemke, born January 13, 1876, of either Poland or Russia. I know he was a cook in the Russian Army. He came to the USA in 1903 and settled in St. Joseph, MI. I am also trying to locate any information on Christ's wife, Emilie Rinas, who was born on August 12, 1882. She came to the USA with her sister Juliana in 1902. They worked to send for their brother Michael and his family who came to the USA in 1925. Any information is appreciated. I am also willing to share my information. |
