Born: Parish of Paraise/Paradise (???), near Ennis, County Clare

Enlisted: 7th March 1898 at Tralee, (reputedly) aged 18 years and 1 month

Discharged: 30th March 1898, due to mis-statement regarding age on enlistment

Usual Occupation: labourer

Features: Scar below right eye

Complexion: Fresh

Hair: brown

Height: 5ft 4 ¾ in.

Born: St Stephen’s, Dublin

Enlisted: 20th March 1876 at Dublin, aged 20 years

Discharged: 14th August 1883, due to secondary syphilis

Usual Occupation: striker

Imprisoned: 8th March 1879 to 8th March 1879 (sic)

Medical: suffered from syphilis, gonorrhoea, orchitis, ulcers and fever

Complexion: Dark

Eyes: Blue

Hair: Dark brown

Height: 5ft 7 3/8 in

Next of Kin: John Dundon

Notes: Served in Africa, received medal and clasp in 1879. Held third class certificate of education

 

 

Thomas Dundon

5th Royal Irish Lancers

Born: St Peter & Paul, Cork

Enlisted: 1st March 1877 at Aldershot, Hampshire, aged 21 years

Discharged to the Army Reserve: 31st December1883

Medical: Suffered convulsions when trod on by a horse; ulcerated throat due to cold; tonsillitis; orchitis; primary syphilis three times; secondary syphilis; diarrhoea; sprained knee; bronchitis; impetigo

Usual Occupation: Carpenter
