| I am searching for the DUNLOP family that came to the States in the early 1880's from Scotland and settled in Fall River, Massachusetts. The mom & dad who sailed across the "big pond" were William and Barbara Donaldson Dunlop. Known children are Emma Dunlop-Campbell, William Donaldson Dunlop, Joseph Donaldson Dunlop, Robert Dunlop(all born in Scotland), Theresa Dunlop born in Fall River, Massachusetts. William Donaldson Dunlop married Harriet Taylor in Fall River and had three sons - Milton, Robert Gamble and William. Joseph Donaldson Dunlop married Lillian ? and had four daughters Grace, Edith, Lillian and Margaret and son Joseph. Emma Dunlop Campbell married ? and had two sons Robert and William. I am also looking for Holmes in the Orno, Maine and Fall River, Massachusetts areas. From what I know George R. Holmes married Celestia Johnston in Penobscot Co., Maine and had at least one son Frank William Holmes. I am unsure of any other children. They later moved to the Fall River, Massachusetts area in the late 1800's. Frank William Holmes married Mary Anna Wilbur O'Hearn LaCharite. They had two children from her previous marriage Richard and Alice (who died in infancy) and two of their own Bernice and Frank William, Jr. (who died in infancy). I am also looking for Albert LaCharite/Albert Buck (appearently he used his mother's maiden name as an alias). As with any family - I am searching for many, many more surnames. Here is just a sampling: ASPDEN, BEASLEY, BATTLE, BRYANT, COOK, DOLLINGER, DONAHUE, DUNLOP, GALVIN, HIBBS, HOLMES, JOHNSTON, McIVOR, O'HEARN, TAYLOR Any help would be greatly appreciated!
