| I am researching the Valentine J. Smith Family. Valentine was born August 1, 1880 and married twice in his life time - first to Celestia Meyer and then to Elizabeth Geissinger. All seven children were born to Celestia and all were born in or around Fremont, Ohio including Valentine. It is my understanding the last name used to be SCHMIDT before his family came to Ellis Island. I am new to family research, but would be willing to learn and share any information I receive. I realize the name SMITH or even SCHMIDT is difficult to trace, but would appreciate any help. |
