Find Family
I've been able to trace my mother's family, the Elliotts back to the mid-1700s to the Salisbury area in Rowan County, North Carolina; a William Elliot, who I believe is my 4g-grandfather.

In addition to the Elliotts of various spellings, you will find Harmons, some Gadberrys, a few Merrills, a Nicholson or two, a Yarborough somewhere in there, and many others.

I'm rather new at this, so if you have any suggestions or comments, please feel free to let me know. If you have some information on family members that would fit into these branches, let me know that too.

    The Lavina Elliott I have in my lineage was born in 1854. Although I don't have proof positive this is her, I've not found another Lavina in all my searching. My thanks for the photo goes to Ms. L.M. Stephens who rescued this photo from an antique shop somewhere. Perhaps someone will recognize either of the adults in the picture (or perhaps even the children).
