I am researching the Jacob Miller family. Jacob was born in Germany. He married Anna Thayer, also form Germany. They came to Louisiana from Maryland. They had 8 children, Isabelle, Marie Barbe, Catherine, Frederick, Jacob, Marie Anne, Marie Therese and Jean Batiste Miller. I am especially interested in Jean Batiste Miller.

I am also researching the family of Joseph Castille, born about 1737 in Spain. He married Ozite Landry. He was a native of Menorca, one of the Ballearic Islands off the east coast of Spain. Joseph was living in Maryland in the mid 18th century. Prior to 1763 he married Rositte (Ozite) Landry an Acadian refugee and arrived in Louisiana in 1767.
