WILLIAM JOSEPH TROTTER-born approx 1760 in Virgina or North Carolina and March 18, 1830 in Wayne County Illinois,married SARAH KING born about 1765 in NOrth or South Carolina and died approx 1821 in Wayne County Illinois. children of WILLIAM TROTTER and SARAH KING;CHARLES OTIS, GEORGE, ELISHA B., SUSANNAH, JAMES F.,
REBECCA, THOMAS ARCHIBALD, WILLIAM, ISHAM, ROBERT and SHIRLEY JASPER.

My personal connection: Malinda Jane TROTTER Butler was my Great Grandmother, she married Dock Butler. Malinda was the daughter of Ebenezer and Ellen Hall TROTTER, Ebenezer was the son of Thomas Archibald and Harriett Tramell TROTTER, Thomas was the son of William Joseph and Sarah King TROTTER

Bettie has gathered and put together books on the ELISHA TROTTER line.

  My Great Grandfather is Thomas Trotter (son of James F and Mary Smith Trotter). He had several children and the whole family is shown in the picture I attached when they lived in Tiskilwa, IL. In the front row (seated), there is (according to my Aunt and Dad, who are children of Courtney) Roy, Courtney, Mina (Rowland) Trotter, Zelma, and Thomas. In the back row, there is Donald Trotter and his wife Nona, Maulbie, Adolph (called Doll for short), and Guy.
