Hello. My name is Janelle Vandervort Dvorak, and I am researching the following surnames:

CLAY, specifically anyone named Francis Clay in or near North Rauceby (Lincs) England ca. 1700.

DICKINSON, specifically George H. Dickinson of Wrightstown (Brown) Wisconsin ca. 1864-1883. I suspect he was from Fowler (St. Lawrence) New York prior to 1860 but cannot prove it as yet. Any additional information would be welcomed.

BENNETT, specifically the parents of Orlow David Bennett, probably Joseph and Olive Bennett of Vermont who, according to my hypothesis, moved to Ashtabula Co., Ohio, ca. 1815.

TRAVIS, specifically Henry and William, brothers of Stephen. Stephen came to the Wisconsin Territory in 1846 and died in Fitchburg (Dane)Wisconsin in 1860. All were apparently born in Cortlandt Twp. (Westchester) New York, the children of David and Rachel BIRDSALL Travis. Again, any additional information would be welcomed.

In the back row are Anne and Mary Clay. In the front, an unknown visitor, Francis and Francelia Clay, and two other unknowns. Missing from the photo are John, Ellen and Frank Jr. The visitors could possibly be Libbie, Joseph and Howard Bigelow. Ellen Elizabeth Clay 1880-1963 (19 KB) This is "Aunt Ellie" as I remember her. My father, age 3 (281 KB) This picture was taken in 1918. Note the Peter Pan collar and high button shoes.
