I have been researching the Family of William Singleton Dwyer, a convict arriving in Van Diemens Land (Tasmania)in c1840. Although I have just about completed the Family lines from when William married after his release in Tasmania, I have been unable to find any information from before his arrival. Also as there were about a dozen William Dwyer's transported from Ireland and England I have been unable to ascertain without doubt, which William was my Great-grandfather. The main information I have is that he was Catholic, a Blacksmith and Irish and I guess the best clue is his second name of Singleton. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
