Gessner Family of Fremont, Ohio

Updated May 23, 2009

I am researching the family of Louis S. Gessner, born in Westhofen, Hesse-Darmstadt, in 1804. He married Elizabeth Schwarz in Thun, Switzerland and then emmigrated to the United States. He settled first in Williamsville, Erie County, New York and then in Fremont, Ohio. Louis and Elizabeth had eight children who lived to adulthood. Louis later married Elizabeth Raeder Lahr, and had four children with her. I am attempting to trace all of their descendants. Louis died in Fremont, Ohio in 1884.
