Found in The Newark Advocate - SILVER WEDDING ANNIVERSARY IS CELEBRATED AT RECEPTION. Mr. and Mrs. Charles O. EAGLE were honored at a reception held in their home, RFD 5, Newark, Sunday in celebration of their silver wedding anniversary which they will observe on Tuesday. Time was spent informally with guests being received from 2 to 4 p.m. The home was decorated with bouquets of gladioli and asters.
Miss Dorothy Evelane KLUMP became the bride of Charles Orin EAGLE on Aug. 15, 1936 in St. Mary's, W.VA. in the home of the officiating minister, the Rev. A. Bm MINANNYER.
They are the parents of three children: Mrs. Nick LINDSEY, Hebron RFD 1, Charles E. EAGLE Newark, RFD 6, and Miss Shirley EAGLE of the home. They also have six grandchildren.
Mrs. EAGLE is a member of the White Chapel Methodist Church and Jacksontown Grange and Mr. EAGLE is a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Newark and the Acme Masonic Lodge.
Hosts for the afternoon were Messrs. and Mesdames, Charles E. EAGLE, Nick LINDSEY, Miss Shirley EAGLE and Ronald HAYES.

From The Newark Advocate - "CHARLES EAGLE; The former owner and operator of EAGLES' Shoe Store in Newark, Charles Orin EAGLE, died this morning in his home after a long illness.
Mr. EAGLE, 92, of Rt. 5, was a member of Acme Lodge, F&AM and First Presbyterian Church of Newark. He was born June 12, 1873 in Utica, the son of William S. and Martha Smith EAGLE.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Klump EAGLE; three daughters, Mrs. Milton BOWMAN, Newark; Mrs. Nick LINDSEY, Granville; and Mrs. Ronald HAYES, Granville; three sons: Forest L. of Thornville; Harvey, Columbus and Charles E. EAGLE, Alexandria; 13
grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Two brothers, Two daughters and his first wife, Jessie Miller EAGLE, are deceased.
Funeral services will be 2;30 p.m. Tuesday in Criss Brothers Funeral Home with Dr. E. Hoyt KERR and the Rev. Gay YODERS officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Burial will be in Cedar Hill
