RICHARD CREAMER EASINGWOOD, SR. A brief history I was born at an early age on the 15th of April in the year of 1941AD; the day that President Lincoln actually died (he was shot on the 14th); the day that the Titanic actually sunk (it hit the iceberg on the 14th), and the day that taxes are due. At least something good finally came on the 15th. I am the middle child of 5 children. Two brothers on the upper side and a sister and a brother on the lower side. My family lived in upstate New York (Utica) and soon moved to Lakewood, Ohio, which is west of Cleveland, and in 1951, we moved to Washington, Pennsylvania (27 miles southwest of Pittsburgh). I graduated from Washington High School in 1959 and joined the United States Army, as a tank mechanic, in 1960. In 1969, I was appointed as a Warrant Officer in the field of mechanical maintenance and was sent to Vietnam for a year's tour of duty. I returned to Vietnam for my second tour in 1971. I retired from the Army in February of 1980 as a Chief Warrant Office-3 and tried my hand in retail sales for five years (what a bummer). In 1985, I was able to land a job as a civil servant with the Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; where I sit to this day. Hopefully, I will be able to retire for the second time in three years where I can pursue my hobby (stamp collecting) on a full time basis and writing my autobiography.
