| This line of the Eason family had it's latter roots in the county of Sevier, Arkansas. Then to Golden, Oklahoma just a few miles across the border. I have found that from this point it had traveled west from Heard County, Georgia. There John Eason was married to Nancy Borders. They had two sons before Nancy died supposedly at child birth of that second son. It is rumored that John then entered the Civil War, serving with Company D,35th. Regiment of the Georgia Volunteer Infantry. They were assigned to the Army of Northern Virginia and participated in the battles of Williamsburg being wounded at Seven Pines, May 31,1862. He was wounded again on December 31,1862 at or after the battle of Fredericksburg. It is also summized that he was released from duty in Virginia but I have no record of when. It is also summized that he might have remained in the general vicinity and remarried. Since I have no definate proof that this record is that of my GG-Grandfather any help would be greatly appreciated. Also searching for RUTH/ROUTH, ENDICOTT/ENDECOTE, SMITH/PRIDDY, LILEY, JOHNSON, CHASE, HUGHES. |
