I am researching the Eastman family and some branches -- Blyth, Copp, Ebert, Jackson, Ham, Heard, Horne, Lodge, Nichols, Otis, Peaslee, Pitman, Reifel, Roby, Speed, Stoughton, Varney, and Wright.
I NEED YOUR HELP! I have an album of Eastman family photos, most of them unidentified. I have included one below. Please click on the link "CAN YOU IDENTIFY THIS (EAST)MAN?" If you can possibly identify him, please email me. The photo is circa 1875.
DO YOU LIVE NEAR CHICK ROAD IN PARSONSFIELD, MAINE? The family of Jacob and Mary (Spalding) Eastman almost certainly lived on Chick Road in Parsonsfield between approximately 1800 and 1870. The home passed from Jacob to his son John Spaulding Eastman, and the Chick family were their neighbors. Although I have searched many Parsonsfield cemeteries, I have been unable to find the graves of Jacob Eastman (died in 1855 in Parsonsfield), Mary (Spalding) Eastman (died after 1860), or John Spaulding Eastman (died 1872 in Parsonsfield). IF ANYONE CURRENTLY LIVING IN PARSONSFIELD, ME, (particularly near Chick Road) HAS A LITTLE CEMETERY IN HIS BACK YARD, I'D CERTAINLY APPRECIATE YOUR HAVING A LOOK FOR JACOB EASTMAN!!! In fact, I'd be glad to hear of any Eastman buried in Parsonsfield. They're all related!
I have visited the grave of Jacob's son Taylor Eastman in Parsonsfield. I have also visited the grave of Jacob's son Ezekiel Eastman. Ezekiel is buried at the Depot Cemetery in Rumney, NH, with his wife Abigail Copp, son Alfred A. Eastman, son Henry Hoyt Eastman, and Henry's wife Caroline Augusta Preston. I have photos that I'd be glad to email if anyone's interested.
CAN YOU PLEASE HELP??? Does anyone know a JACOB NICHOLS who married (1) Sybil(Sibbel) WRIGHT in 1814 in Dunstable, NH, and (2) Hannah WILLEY sometime around 1840? Jacob Nichols was born in 1789, possibly in Amherst, NH, and he died on September 11, 1878 in Londonderry, NH. I have posted a picture of his tombstone at the Virtual Cemetery. Does anyone recognize NICHOLS names such as Jacob Nichols, Jr. (b. 1814) Mary M. Nichols (b. 1817) Sarah A. Nichols (b. 1825, married John M. Pope) Eliza Jane Nichols (b.1829, married Daniel Eastman) Josephine Nichols (b. 1843) Margaret Nichols (b. 1849) Ira E. Nichols Ida M.(Nichols)(Lyman) Cunningham Almira Bixby Nichols (b. @1815, married Jacob Nichols, Jr.) Frances Nichols George H. Nichols Julia U. Nichols Joseph P. Nichols Knight Nichols living in Amherst, NH, in 1790. --------- HELP! ----------
Wishing you all Happy Hunting! Ginnie
