(a)Benton Sirris Ebling, son of Franklin S. Ebling, they both served in the 213 Penn. Infantry together.
(b) Cyrus EBLING, mustered into service March 7, 1864 for a three year term. Wounded at the Wilderness, Virginia, May 5,1864. Mustered out with company, June 27, 1865.
(c) Franklin S. EBLING also served in company A, 15 Veteran Reserve Corps. The Veteran Reserve Corps was composed of deserving officers and enlisted men who were unfit for active field service because of wounds or disease contracted in the line of duty, but who were still capable of performing garrison duty. When the Corps was first authorized on April 28, 1863, it was known as the "Invalid Corps." Its name was changed to the Veteran Reserve Corps on March 18, 1864.One EBLING researcher says that Franklin S. EBLING also served with the 88 Pennsylvania Infantry, mustered into service Feb. 22, 1865 (the Civil War ended on April 9, 1865).
(d) Jacob EBLING, mustered into service Oct. 28,1861, Discharged on surg. certificate Aug. 6,1862. For more information on Company F of the 93 Pennsylvania Infantry go to http://www.angelfire.com/pa/Stump44/structure.html
(e) Jacob S. EBLING of company K (Wayne Guards), was a substitute in that company from March 4th, 1865 to August 28th, 1865 when his company was mustered out. He was to serve a 1 year term as a substitute but the war ended before his year was up.
(5) John EBLING, he was drafted into Company K (Wayne Guards) on September 23rd, 1863 for a term of 3 years, he was wounded in action at Cemetary Hill in Petersburg, Virginia on June 30th, 1864 and discharged for his wounds June 27th, 1865 at U.S. Hospital, Bristol.
