"...in what became known as the "Fort Seybert massacre". Killed on that day were Capt. Jacob Seybert and his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Theiss), his mother Johanna (?) Seybert Lorentz, and numerous others. Henry Lorentz had been previously killed by the Shawnee on May 16, 1757..."
