| The McGovern Family History The basic brief history of the McGoverns is that Peter McGovern immigrated to America from Ireland sometime before 1883, eventually landing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he married Sarah Sheridan, who was also from Ireland. Together they had a total of 10 children: Anna(also known as Anne), James, Bernerd, Francis(Frank), Owen, Mary(Mame), Peter, Sarah(Sade), Edward(Eddie), and a baby that died sometime before the age of two. |
