My family celebrates the 80th Birthday of Gabriel Eby,Sr. each year on the Sunday closest to his birthday which was 27 Jul 1818. The first reunion was a surprise Birthday Party at his home on 27 Jul 1898 when his family gave him a Gold Headed Cane which is handed down each year to a person chosen each year at the Business Session of the Reunion. I thought that it would be nice for the family to be able to look up information about their ancestors to see how they are related to each other. Hopefully this will renew an interest in our personal heritage. David M. Eby |
