The Elusive John Edens and Sarah Miller

I am researching descendants of John Edens and Sarah Miller who were parents of at least one child, Samuel Mitchell Edens. John and Sarah were residents of Virginia of German descent and came to Ohio when Samuel was a youngster.

Samuel was born in June 20,1840 "somewhere in West Virginia" according to a Biographical Sketch of Cessna Township, Hardin County, Ohio. Samuel was raised on a farm and attended schools in Highland County, Ohio. He ran a sawmill in Hardin County for several years and was also a farmer in Cessna Township in Hardin County, Ohio as well as a road superintendant.

Samuel and Catherine Jane Swartz, daughter of John and Mary Ann Swartz of Muskingum County Ohio, were married on December 26, 1869 in Hardin County, Ohio. They were the parents of Ervin Algern, Arizonia Adelaide, Emery Melvin, Leona Adelle, Euretta Almena, William Merlin, Lillian Dale, Reginald Guy, and Mitchell F.B. Edens.

I am continually searching for more members of this elusive line of Edens members and will appreciate any additions or corrections which anyone would be willing to share with me.
