Most North American SPRINKLEs can be traced to the 3 immigrants, believed to be brothers from Germany who landed in Pennsylvania. Their names were Wilhelm, Michael & Peter SPRENCKEL. Over the years, the surname has modified from the original spelling of SPRENCKEL into SPRENKEL, SPRENKLE, SPRANKEL, SPRANKLE, SPRINKEL, SPRINKLE, SPRINKLES and SPRINGLE. Now we can be found in every state with at least one of these spellings. Our goal is to unite all of these families. Please help us try!

Descendants of John Henrich Sprenckel (PA > MD) (274 KB) These are the Descendants of Johan Henrich "Henry" Sprenckel (bc 1760 - d aft 1795), as researched by Cathy Tennace (RATHJT@aol.com) and other Sprinkle contributors. Henry married Margaretta (Chretta) Gottigor(n) and they raised their familiy in the Baltimore area of Maryland (where Gretta was born). Many of their descendants still live their. For now, we believe Henry & Gretta raised at least 1 child named John Henry Jr. It is this son's lineage that is in this tree. He was born 09 October 1791 & died 04 November 1871. We would like to learn more about Johan Henrich "Henry" Sprenckel's heritage. If you can help or contribute, please contact us !!

Included in this photo of Arthur Sprinkle's family are his wife Nora (SMITH) Sprinkle and their children Nellie L., Stanley A., Cobah D., Glenn A., and Forest C. (they are unidentified in the photo). Arthur lived a long and prosperous life which began in 17 April 1872 and ended 05 March 1959.
