As of this initial update, 28 Feb, 1997, I'm just getting started researching the following names:EDHOLM - Benjamin Edholm and his two brothers Albert & Peter came to the US with their father, Lars Peter, and mother (name unknown) sometime in the mid-1800s (this is based solely on working backward from my father's DOB in 1902 -- he was Benjamin's grandson). I've lost track of most of the family, although I know there is a branch in Freso, California.DUDZIK - My wife, Kathy, is a DUDZIK (Daughter of Marion S.), from Chicago. Her mother was a Greniewicki (Leona, daughter of Joseph and Josephine), also from Chicago. We are just launching our search of her family.LINDLEY - My mother's maiden name was Frances Louise Lindley, born West York, Crawford Co, IL, in 1904. Her father, James LINDLEY, was my namesake. The LINDLEY family arrived in PA sometime between the birth of Thomas LINDLEY in 1705-06 in County Carlow, Ireland, and his marriage in 1731 in either London Grove or New Garden, PA. Subsequently, the family moved to Orange Co, NC, where Thomas died in 1781, in Cane Creek MM (what does "MM" mean?)Sometitme in the next three generations, i.e. in 1838 when William Lindley was born (or perhaps during William's lifetime) they moved to Clark and Crawford Co, IL.HADLEY - ~1500-1700 (Ireland & PA). The HADLEYs married into the LINDLEYs in 1731. They had an interesting history dating all the way back to King Edward I (Longshanks of "Braveheart" fame).I know this is very general now, but it will become more specific as time goes on. I would be happy to share whaterver info I have already. I welcome your input, & thanks in advance!
