Thanks for visiting my family history home page! I hope you make a connection to a family surname that I've listed below and discover that we are related. The world gets smaller each day, so one never knows. Some of the main surnames that I am researching on my PATERNAL side of the family are: Baier, Batten, Bailey (Baylee), Bohen, Cooley, Edler, Fairfield, Fuhrmen, Hunt, Johnson, Miller, Schulzkump, Stickley, Stimetz, Stoddard, Willison and Yaw. John Phillip Edler I was born in Baden, Germany about 1790 (est.) and was married to Elizabeth Bohen. Their son John Phillip Edler II (b. abt. 1822) came to the US in 1867 and eventually settled in northeastern Nebraska with his wife Anna Marie Baier and their three children John Phillip Edler III (b. 1853), Elizabeth and Louisa Mae. "JP" Edler III (my great grandfather) married Evelina Batten who was one of the 10 children of Joshua Batten (b. 1830 in Devon, England).
MATERNAL Family surnames include: Cassidy, Connelly, Fitzpatrick, Hartnett, Harty, Heffernan, Killackey, Lawless, Long, McCarthy, McGuire, Rigney, Sweeney and Whelihan. Maternal names are all Irish. William Harty (b. 1780) from Nenagh, Tipperary County, Ireland married Mary Rigney. They relocated in Middlesux County, Ontario, Canada where they reared 10 children. Michael Harty (b. 1813) married Bridget Whelihan and eventually relocated in Dakota County, Nebraska. His son John Harty (my great grandfather) married Mary Ellen Heffernan. They lived in Hubbard, Dakota County, Nebraska.

Please write me or send an E-Mail for more information. I am very willing to share everything I have (over 4,000 names) with whomever is interested. Refer also to my attached files for more detail.

God Bless You and your research!!
