In the name of God Amen I Martha Jones of Washington County and State
of Virginia calling to mind the uncertainty of life, and being in feeble
health and advanced in age, but blessed as I trust with the use and exercise
of my common reason and memory for which I directly thank God and wishing
to dispose of such worldly estate as it has pleased God to bless me with.
I herein make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form
following, that is to say
First, I give and bequeath to my son David Jones fifty dollars.
Secondly, I give and bequeath to my son Henry Jones all that may remain
of my estate after paying my just debts, my bequest to my son David Jones
as above written and the expense of executing this will and whatever my estate
may contain at my decease if money in hand or debts due to me and if property
or goods of whatever king or all together I hereby give and bequeath the
whole of it to my son Henry Jones as aforesaid above herein.
Lastly I hereby appoint my two sons Henry Jones and David Jones Executors
of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand and affixed my seal this 6th day of December
1851.

At a court held for Washington County the 6th day of April 1852:
The last will and testament of Martha Jones deceased was exhibited in court and proved by the oath of Parker Smith and James Robinson two of the witnessing * * * * * * * * *. And on the motion of Henry Jones one of the executors therein named who took the oath of an executor prescribed by law and entered into and acknowledged his bond in the sum of three hundred dollars with James Robinson and Parker Smith his securities conditioned as that law directs. A certificate is therefore granted him for the probate of the said will in due time.

Inventory of the personal estate of Martha Jones decd pursuant to an order of the county court of Washington County dated and first being duly sworn for that purpose we have this day proceeded to inventory and appraise the following property belonging to the estate of Martha Jones decd. Viz:
1 looking glass 37½, spindle table 37½ $ .75
1 Folding Table 2.00, 1 Lot * 1.25 3.25
1 * 5.00, 1 Tin Trunk .25 5.25
½ doz. * * * 2.00, 1 large Seat 3.00 5.00
1 Bedstead and Cord 1.50, 1 bed and furniture 15.00 16.50
