He married (1) LYDIA* SMITH Abt. 1798 in Grafton, Rensselaer, NY, daughter of ELKANAH* SMITH and HEPSIBAH* REYNOLDS. She died Unknown in at 50 years of age (Source: Album of Genealogy and Biography Cook Co., Illinois, (Calumet Press, Vol. 2).). He married (2) ELSA WAGER September 20, 1825 in NY. SA* PARDRIDGE:
1. Family was said to have come from England early in MASS colonial history.

2. Albany Co. partioned for Rensselaer Co. Family at Stephentown 1790 then in 1791 north 1/2 of Stephentown became Petersburg. In 1806 west part of Petersburg became Grafton. Town records exist for Petersburg from April 1791.

3. Had newspapers at 1791 -the Recorder- and - Farmer's Oracle.

4. Littlefield Cemetery is 1 and 1/2 miles west of Grafton on old road to Quackenkill.

Research Notes:

Many men served in Renssel. Battalion in revolutionary war.

Also found a Samuel Partridge who made claim for land that NY gave
to VT to establish state boundries per NY law at 1790. See research
document in file.
At 1820 NY census Index there is an Edward Partridge shown at Troy, Renss. co.
