Find Family

* Miller/Knight/Goodbread/Allen/Mott/Higgins AL/GA/FL/NC*

Updated January 7, 2002

Our family traces back to the original settlers of the 1600's. Our men have fought in every conflict since the Revolution. In all cases that I have found, they have been residents of the deep south. We have deep roots in Brunswick and Cumberland Island, GA, Tallahassee, FL, Alabama, and in the Rutherfordton/Tryon area of NC. Spreading from there, this family now lives coast to coast. We have roots in Cherokee heritage stemming from the Allen branch of the family, which (as far as I know) originated in Alabama. We also have history with rum running from the Bahamas, in the Mott line.

I am at a dead end with the Miller line (Caucasian)from Alabama, and the Allen's. The only complete line I have is of the Goodbread family. I can use help in all others and help you with some as well. If you have roots in wiregrass Georgia, Spanish Florida, Colonial North Carolina, post Civil War Alabama, or other areas of the deep south, please contact me. Perhaps we can work together.
