The Eeles of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Currently, I have reached back to the early 1800's in Surrey England where my forefather Eeles was footman to the Lord Arden. I am stuck at this point because some of the local records of that time have not survived. Interestingly enough, from my grandfather down at least five generations, all my forefathers have carried the first name 'Stephen' which I carry as my second name. On my mother's side, I have found ancestors 'Birch' in Manchester England the earliest born in 1856. I cannot find them in the marriage bans of the time and am stuck at this point with them.

I would appreciate any suggestions or help from anyone interested. I willing to share information with anyone interested in the 'Eeles' or 'Birch' names.
