I am searching for information regarding the Effenbergers. I know that my grandfather, Joseph Effenberger, was born in 1907 in either Germany or Russia. He came over from Bremen in 1909 with his mother and siblings. His father, August, came over in 1907 and went to RI. They later moved to NJ. The ship records indicate that they are from Kalisch, but I don't know if that's Germany or Russia. If you have any information, please e-mail me. Thank you. |
