This web site includes the same genealogical and historical information as the book, "Henry Eggers of Altenburg and Farrar, Perry County, Missouri, 1856 to 1914, His Descendants, Ancestors, and Relatives", published 2005, along with additional details obtained since publication. The family tree information is arranged in a web-friendly manner rather than the linear chapter arrangement of the book.
From this home page, the "Book," the photographs, and the Harm Eggers reports are available to all readers. The remaining reports and family trees are limited by password to family members. (Sorry that the pictures appear in somewhat random order; the software seems to have a mind of its own.)
All readers are encouraged to first read the early chapters of the book, which provide a road map to the reports and the remainder of the book.

- Peoples Cash Store (923 KB)
Dorothea Eggers, daughter of Hermann, married Karl Stueve (or Carl Stuive) and they migrated from Perry County to Bates County, Missouri, and then to Kansas. Carl operated this store in Linn, Kansas from about 1888 to 1903. Carl may be the man with the long beard, right of center, next to a boy, who could be one of his sons.

St. Liborius was the church of Harm Eggers before the family moved into the Lamstedt parish.
- Walter Eggers wedding (553 KB)
Walter Eggers, son of Henry, married Lydia Verseman in Salem Lutheran, Farrar, Missouri on April 16, 1933.

This is the town where Henry Eggers farmed and raised 8 children. The Eggers&Company store is near the lower left. Salem Lutheran Church and School is near the top. The farm where Henry raised his family is at the left center edge.

Claus Eggers was married here on September 20, 1829. His children, Hermann, Catharina, and Johann Hinrich (aka Henry) were baptized here before the family emigrated to Perry County in 1842.

This picture was taken of the store in Farrar when it was the Bueckman store. Later it was owned by Klaus and then Eggers/
- The family of Herman Jacob Eggers and Ida Wachter (159 KB)
This was probably taken about 1920. In the panel on the left are (t. to b.) William, Henry, and Paul. Between the parents are the 5 girls: Hulda(b. 1900), Louise (b. 1904), Clara (b. 1911), and Emma (b. 1912). The boys include Theodor Fredrich (b. 1907) and Martin Benjamin (b. 1908) and either Theodor Rudolf (b. 1897) or Otto Benjamin (b. 1899). Note that Otto Benjamin died January 1919, so he may be the one that is missing.
- Herman Jacob Eggers and Minna Koenig (218 KB)
Hermann Jacob, a first cousin of Henry, was born in Altenburg. He and Minna Koenig were married November 8, 1888. After her death he married Ida Wachter. Later the family migrated to Corvallis, Oregon.

- Johann Hinrich and Anne Catherine Resen (98 KB)
Johann Hinrich (aka Henry) was a son of Claus and immigrated to Perry County as a child. Anne was also born in Lamstedt. They were married in Trinity Lutheran, Altenburg, Missouri, May 13, 1856.
