He was a sausage maker and had his own store. This photo was taken in his backyard. Today the store Otto's Sausage Kitchen and Meat Market is still located at SE Woodstock Blvd and SE 42nd Avenue in Portland, Oregon and run by Otto's oldest grandson "Jerry".
