| I am researching a number of lines in my family tree, but for the most part am now focusing on the Doukhobor lineage. My paternal great-grandparents came to Canada with the Doukhobor people in 1899 and settled in the Verigin, Saskatchewan area. Names common to this line are Bloodoff, Horkoff, Koochin, Sherstabitoff, Fedosoff, et al. My maternal great-grandparents came from Scotland and Wales in the early 1900s. Names common here are MacLean, McKay, Cowan, Kuhl, et al. My husband's family emigrated from Germany in the early 1900s as well. Names common here are Eiffert, Glute, Seitz, et al. |
