The Bald - Elfert Family Home Page

The following are some of the families I am researching.

The BALD and SCHEINER families immigrated to Iowa from Bavaria, Germany in about 1847. The two families settled in or near Buffalo, IA. Three of the children of Johann Andreas (Andrew) SCHEINER and Mary BREUCHNER married three of the children of Michael BALD.

Johann ELFERT and Dorothea KRUEGER lived in Mecklenberg/Schwerin, Germany and had five children. Their son, Joseph John Christian ELFERT b. 5/17/1847 in Mecklenberg/Schwerin, Germany immigrated to Iowa, married Roselia Christina MINKER, and lived in Emery, SD and then Wisconsin. He died 2/9/1948 in Abbotsford, WI.

Michael FEERICK and Catherine MEENAHAN lived in the parish of Kilmaine, County Mayo, Ireland. Their son Patrick J. FEERICK b. 3/15/1867 immigrated to Missouri in about 1888, lived many years in Joplin, MO, married Rosetta HILL b. 4/6/1873 and had nine children.

Jacobe Fremont EICHER b. 2/28/1820 and Rosanne GLENDENNING b. 3/23/1824 lived in Greene Co.,PA and had nine children. A daughter, Emma b. 1/16/1845, married Rees M. HILL b. 9/10/1841 and moved to Missouri.

I am willing to share any information I have about these families, and would appreciate any information about them and their descendents and ancestors.
