This is Roy Elia's daughter.Charles Hargett, her husband, was the chief engineer on the DeGray Lake and Dam project and he was the manager of the lake and park for several years and retired.He has been preaching for many years, also.Charles is an El Dorado boy.Janice's uncle is Harold "Bud" Gulledge who Cindy met at Whelen and lives across from the old Whelen School.I was raised up with all of them.Fran, Janice'smother, went with me to vouch for me when I got our marriage licenses.Good people.

JANICE E. HARGETT
Beautiful Janaice "Honey" Elia Hargett, 63, ofArkadelphia, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
She was born on Dec. 26,1939, in Whelen Springs, the daughter of Roy and Fran Gulledge Elia.She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Roy and Fran Elia of El Dorado; her husband of 43 years, Rev. Charles Hargett; one son Charles "Chuck" Hargett of Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Karen Hargett Busby of Clinton, MS. and Lisa Noble of Flowood, MS. five grandchildren, Cade and Paige Noble, John and Brittany Busby, and James Burnett; and two nieces, Kathy Flournoy and Tracey Schuster.
Funeral will be at 1 P.M. on Tuesday at West Side Baptist Church in El Dorado with the Rev. Sam Whitlow and Dr. Donny Hargett officiating.Intrement will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Monday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Arkadelphia.
Memorials may be made to Mount Zion Baptist Church, 547 Mount Zion Road, Arkadelphia, AR. 71923.
Thanks for sending this.We did go to the funeral.It was a fast trip.We left here at 2 p.m. and arrived in Felsenthal at 11:45 p.m.Then left after service and got back in at ll:30 last night.Juanita(Lee's wife ) called us first after reading it in paper.Then Charlene Nixon called later to tell us.Janice was a beautiful person and I wish you could have known her.I only knew her slightly and missed a lot.We don't always get such news all the way out here so am grateful that you keep us informed.
