He married IDA EVINSON (Source: Norman County Cemetery Books published by the Red River Valley Geneology Society, vol 5 pg 60.) 1884 in Lake park, Minnesota.

Notes for THOR T. SKARE:
Obituary: Thor T. Skare, aged 79, one of the early settlers of Waukon township, died at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Lee at Larimore, N.D. on Monday, April 21 following a stroke. The deceased was born at Rushford, Minn. on March 23, 1862, and came to Norman county about 1885, locating on a farm near Gary, where he resided for a long number of years.
He was united in marriage in 1884 to Ida Everson at Lake Park, his wife and one son preceding him in death. Surviving are five sons, Carl, Theodore and Gotfred of Waukon, Alfred of Gary and Olaf of Larimore, and two daughters, Mrs. Ole Lee, Jr. of Larimore and Mrs. Gotfred Berland of Lake Park.
Funeral services were conducted at Ness church near Gary Sunday afternoon of this week, with burial in the church cemetery.(source paper unknown)
