*Text of Daniel Eller's Will*

In the name of the Benevolent Father of All,

I Daniel Eller of Covington Miami Co. Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament.

I give and devise to my beloved wife, Sarah Eller, the house in lieu of her dowry, and lot being part of Lot No. 65, 66, and 15 feet of no. 64 [illegible] number situated in Covington Miami Co. Ohio during her life time and after that it is my will that it be sold and the proceeds be given equally to my three children [illegible] Eller, Daniel Eller and daughter Fanny Bell Eller. I hereby appoint my beloved wife Sarah Eller to administer my entire estate.

I also give to my wife Sarah Eller the entire household goods to use as she sees proper and best.

In testimony hereof I have herunto set my hand and seal this 12th day of March 1885.

17. Sarah A. WINANS was born on 7 Mar 1834 in Ohio. (111)(112) (113) She was living in 1850 in Spring Creek Township, Miami, OH. (114) She was a Nurse in 1900 in Newberry Township, Miami County, OH.(115) She was buried on 10 May 1909 in Sugar Grove Cemetary, Newberry Township, Miami County, OH.(116) (117) Sugar Grove Cemetary is on Sugar Grove Road, west of Route 46 in Miami County. Sarah is buried in section 6. She died on 3 Oct 1909 in Greenville, Darke, Ohio.(118) (117) 1900 census indicates five children, but only one living in 1900. 1880 census indicated two children, 1870 census indicated three children. Children were:

child i. Mathias ELLER died between 1860 and 1870. He is not listed in the 1870 census. He was born July 1852 - June 1853 in Ohio.(119)
child ii. Mary A. ELLER died between 1860 and 1870. She is not listed in the 1870 census. She was born July 1853 - June 1854 in Ohio. (120)
child iii. Clarence ELLER was born on 12 Aug 1855 in Ohio. (121)(122) (123) The name of a child with this birth year is "Roland" in the 1860 census and "Clarence" in the 1870 census. He was buried in Apr 1900 in Sugar Grove Cemetary, Newberry Township, Miami County, OH. (124) Clarence is buried in section 6. He died on 26 Apr 1900.(65) (125) Sarah's letter to George refers to Clarence's children buying a gravestone for his grave. May be "Roland" and not "Clarence," based on the 1860 census information.

Despite the 1860 census, a letter from Sarah Eller to Daniel Eller confirms that this son was named "Clarence."
child iv. Fanny ELLER was born on 22 Feb 1862 in Ohio. (126)(127) She was buried in May 1886 in Sugar Grove Cemetary, Newberry Township, Miami County, OH. (128) Fanny is buried in section 6. She died on 22 May 1886 in Ohio.(8) (129) Sarah Eller is listed in the 1900 census as having only one living child, who could only have been Daniel at the time. Therefore, Fannie must have died before to June 1900.
